From our March 2015 E-Newsletter:
We are in need of Home-Visit Volunteers to help families and babies living in Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire county hill towns. (Outreach, fundraising, and project volunteers welcome too!)
Home Visits are at the heart of what we do. Each Volunteer is matched with a family who is expecting a baby or has had a baby in the last year. The Volunteer visits the family once a week for twelve weeks, providing companionship, caring for baby, playing with older children, doing housework, and helping in any way that an extended family member or neighbor might.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to join us in this rewarding and useful work. Volunteers should have access to reliable transportation, be dependable, and enjoy working with children.
If you are interested in providing Home Visits, there are three steps to the process:
1. Fill out an application at our website.
2. Complete an interview with Mollie, our Volunteer Coordinator.
3. Attend a Volunteer Orientation where you’ll learn more about how to be a great volunteer.
* Win a Spring Gift Basket full of local goodies (maple syrup, organic eggs, vegetable seeds, biodegradable seed pots, and more!) if you refer a friend to our Volunteer Program! If you know someone who might be interested in this wonderful opportunity, please forward along this information and have them mention your name to win a spring gift basket. Thank you!
